Privacy Policy for Thought Party App Last Updated: 9/29/2026 1. Introduction Welcome to the "Thought Party" app ("we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. 2. Your Thoughts and Notes The thoughts and notes you write are stored on your device. We do not run servers that receive, store, or read them. If you turn on backup, the app copies your thoughts to a private app folder in your own Google Drive account (the Drive "appDataFolder"). Only the Thought Party app can access that folder; it is not visible in your regular Drive files, and we cannot access it. You can turn backup off at any time in Settings, and "Delete all data" in Settings removes your thoughts from both your device and your Drive backup. 3. Google Sign-In To back up to Google Drive, you sign in with your Google account. The app uses your email address to show which account is connected, and requests permission only to its own Drive app folder. Your Google account information stays on your device and is not sent to us. 4. App Lock If you turn on the app lock, your device's own Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint system confirms it is you. The app never receives or stores your biometric data. 5. Advertising The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect data from your device, such as your advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address, approximate location, device information, and how you interact with ads. Your thoughts and notes are never shared with advertisers. Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the app asks for your consent before ads use your data for personalization. You can change your choice at any time under Settings > Privacy > "Ad privacy choices". On iOS, ads only use your advertising identifier if you allow tracking when asked; you can change this in your device's Settings. Analytics The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, for example which screens are opened and whether the app crashes. This data may include device information, app interactions, and an app-instance identifier. It does not include the content of your thoughts or notes. 7. Data Sharing We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the Google services described above (Google Drive, AdMob, and Firebase), which process it under their own privacy policies, or if required by law. 8. Children Thought Party is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. 9. Data Protection The security of your data is important to us, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. 10. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. Changes are effective when they are posted on this page. 11.
